Purchase orders, size curves and packs

Both Buy capabilities are coming soon. When a supplier slips, OODARIS will propose order splits, alternate suppliers or new terms, and it will propose the size curves and packs for each store cluster. By default, your buyers will approve each order before it is written back.

The Buy decisions

OODARIS proposes the answer to each of these.

  • Purchase orders & procurement

    • Purchase orders and procurement covers what happens when a supplier slips: whether to split the order, move it to another supplier or renegotiate its terms. The decision weighs each supplier’s lead time, fill rate, cost and risk against the open-to-buy the order draws on and the date stores need the stock.

  • Sizing & prepacking

    • Sizing sets the size curve for each style and store cluster: how many of each size to buy and send. Prepacking turns those curves into the pack builds suppliers ship, so each store receives the sizes it sells. Together they decide how long a size run lasts at full price.

The budget these orders spend

Purchase orders draw on open-to-buy, which is set and kept current with the season plan. Its worked example is on the Plan page.

Purchase orders, size curves and packs are coming soon. In a demo, we walk open-to-buy from the overnight check to the approved change. A pilot runs it on your data, with 8–12 weeks to a first live cycle.
