The role
OODARIS is the Agentic OS for Retail Decisions. Every night it finds what moved in a retailer's business, explains why and proposes a fix that a planner approves in the morning. ALDO Group backs OODARIS and runs it in production across ALDO, Sperry, Call It Spring and G.H. Bass.
We are early. OODARIS covers five merchandising decisions. Merchandise financial planning (MFP) and open-to-buy are in production at ALDO Group, where MFP replaced a legacy planning system and more than 20 spreadsheets. All five are available to new clients. You will work directly with the founder, our engineers and the planners at ALDO Group.
You will own the product decisions for one of these areas: what we build next, how a recommendation is explained to a planner, and whether a change gets used once it ships. By default, nothing is written back until the decision's owner approves, so the review and approval step is where much of your design work will happen. Owners can also let OODARIS act on its own, inside guardrails they set; part of the job is learning what evidence a planner would need before allowing that.
What you will do
- Run working sessions, demos and user acceptance tests with ALDO Group planners.
- Write down how planners make a decision today, step by step, including the spreadsheets and tools involved.
- Write problem statements and acceptance criteria that engineers can build from.
- Decide what your area builds next, and record the reasons and the trade-offs.
- Design how each recommendation is explained, and how a planner approves or rejects it.
- Define what success means for each release before it ships, and measure adoption and outcomes after.
- Work with engineers on the evaluations that decide when a recommendation is ready to show a planner.
Your first 90 days
- Day 30: working sessions held with ALDO Group planners on one decision, and a written map of how they make it today.
- Day 60: ownership of that decision area, with a prioritized plan the team is building from.
- Day 90: a change to how planners work in that area shipped, with its adoption measured and reviewed with them.
What you bring
- 4+ years as a product manager on B2B software.
- A data-driven product you shipped that people used to make business decisions, with adoption you defined and tracked.
- Discovery sessions, demos and user acceptance tests you ran directly with customers.
- Specs with acceptance criteria that engineers built from, in an area you owned.
- Clear writing: decision notes the team can act on without a meeting.
It helps if you have worked in retail planning, merchandising or supply chain, built products on LLMs or agents, or worked at a startup.
Location
Montréal is preferred; remote in Canada also works, with core hours on Eastern Time. French is an asset, not a requirement.
Hiring process
- A 30-minute intro call.
- A product review: walk us through a product you owned, the decisions you made and how you measured adoption.
- A practical session: work through a realistic planning problem from our product with the founder and one of our engineers.
- Conversations with the team.
- A final conversation with the founder, and reference calls with former managers.
How to apply
Use the form on this page, or email careers@oodaris.ai with "AI Product Manager" in the subject line. Tell us about a product change you shipped: the problem it solved, how you measured whether people used it, and what you would do differently today.
